Established in Puerto Rico in 1959 to participate in its electrification as a subsidiary of Lord Electric Company, it began operating as an island-wide electrical contractor and later, at other nearby Caribbean islands. In 1972 we started a mechanical construction division on which we have worked in over 90% of the Life Sciences operations which helped to develop Puerto Rico as the Pharmaceutical Capital of the World.
Today, LORD has evolved into a successful one-stop shop for all types of design/build, EPC, prefabrication, electrical, mechanical, heavy civil, civil, or CSA (Concrete, Structure, Architectural), construction, and contracting needs. We offer our clients the ability to have a worry-free single contract for simple or overly complex construction and development projects, which evolve into an efficient and streamlined delivery process. Our affiliate, Renewable Energy Systems, has already built and or contracted, over 220 Mw, with several new projects being included in our renewable energy projects pipeline.
